Great cinema is still alive

I was pleasantly surprised by Aftersun, the feature directorial debut of Charlotte Wells.

Aftersun

The film is magnificent, a perfect mixture of memories, tenderness, melancholy, and family. A masterpiece that manages to convince you that you’re not watching a film but peeking into some holiday memories of an 11-year-old girl.

The acting by Frankie Corio and Paul Mescal is excellent.
